Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Program Manager is pivotal in spearheading strategic initiatives within the supply chain realm, specifically targeting the enhancement of transportation logistics and warehouse operations efficiencies. This role is dedicated to managing a wide array of projects, including but not limited to, Yard Management Systems enhancements, Cold Chain Management process improvements, advancement in Reporting and KPIs, pallet program enhancements, and overall warehouse systems optimizations. Collaborating with both internal and external partners, the Supply Chain Program Manager is committed to driving the success of each project, ensuring supply chain optimization and alignment with organizational goals.

What You Will Do:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within transportation and warehousing operations, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  2. Process Improvement Initiatives:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements within transportation and warehousing operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
    • Utilize data analysis to analyze operational data and identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, optimize resource utilization, and eliminate waste.
  3. Transportation Related Quotes for New Business Bids:
    • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to prepare transportation-related quotes for new business bids.
    • Utilize data analysis to analyze transportation data and provide accurate and competitive quotes that align with company objectives and customer needs.
  4. Fiscal Year Budget Development and Process Streamlining:
    • Lead the development of fiscal year budgets for transportation and warehousing projects and initiatives.
    • Utilize data analysis to forecast expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and allocate resources effectively.
  5. Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Development and Reporting Improvements:
    • Develop and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) for transportation and warehousing operations, ensuring meaningful and actionable metrics.
    • Implement reporting enhancements to provide stakeholders with accurate and timely insights into operational performance, using data visualization tools and techniques.
  6. External Reporting Related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG):
    • Manage external reporting requirements related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, supply chain sustainability programs such as the US EPA SmartWay program, and local such as the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
    • Utilize data analysis to collect, analyze, and report on relevant data for ESG/CSR reports, demonstrating the company's commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in supply chain management with a significant emphasis on project management within this field.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing supply chain projects, with a deep understanding of transportation and warehouse operations intricacies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills, is required.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and analytical skills are a must.

Physical Work Environment:
Primarily stationed within an office setting, the Supply Chain Program Manager may occasionally require visits to warehouse and transportation sites to ensure the precise implementation of projects. The role predominantly involves engaging in standard office tasks, including extensive use of computers and office software.
